The City of Torrance Risk Management Division has oversight of Liability Insurance, Risk Management, and Health & Safety Management. The City's Risk Management Program has an established foundation and looks to develop a holistic approach to managing, monitoring and reporting on risks of the City using data driven decision-making. In this role, you will: Assist in the planning, organization and direction of the daily process of the Risk Management program; Be responsible for coordinating with the insurance broker to maintain established insurance policies of the City; Manage the outsourced third party liability claims management program; Implement, monitor and enhance the existing health and safety program; Supervise personnel who will review contracts and agreements for proper risk management language; and Assist and coordinate the Citywide Risk Assessment process and data analytics program to identify risks and monitor compliance. The Senior Risk Management Analyst will also supervise the activities of assigned subordinate personnel; make presentations and recommendations to City Council; and act as the liaison between the Risk Management division and other City departments to maintain service efficiencies and advance initiatives as part of the City's strategic plan.
