The City is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Police Chief, which reports to the City Manager and is responsible for the executive leadership and financial management of the Police Department. The Department has 149 full-time and 47 part-time employees, an $18 million budget, and includes Police Uniform Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Special Operations, Crime Prevention, Professional Standards, and the Emergency 911 Communications Center. The salary range is $96,455.42-$152,759.36; starting salary will be competitive and dependent upon qualifications. The City has an excellent benefits package. Florida does not have a state income tax, and residency within city limits is not required.
