Job Description and Duties Will consider Staff Services Analyst Under the general direction of the Advance Planning branch chief, a Senior Transportation Engineer, the incumbent independently provides support to the District's planning units in a broad range of analytical and support activities in the initiation, tracking, and delivery of DPLA Units' data, reports, documents, and other work including, but not limited to, Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), Minor B projects, and System Planning, Regional Planning, Climate Change Adaptation, Local Assistance and Complete Streets deliverables. Tasks include coordinating, monitoring, and analyzing milestones and resources and cross-checking project data across different data sources to ensure accuracy and consistency among the data sources. The incumbent performs project encumbrance adjustments and develops and maintains detailed reports specific to program, project, and personnel allocations and expense. The incumbent is responsible for the DPLA annual Personal Service dollars (PS) and Operating Expenses (OE) budgets and provides expert management consultations to senior staff and the Deputy Director of DPLA on trends, concerns, and suggested strategies. The incumbent will develop, maintain, and manage the DPLA equipment asset inventory. The incumbent will act as the administrative liaison to all DPLA offices to include monthly, quarterly, and annual budget review and meetings, division equipment asset inventory and purchasing, and support associated planning functions as needed. Job Description and Duties Are you interested in fighting healthcare fraud using your analytical and quantitative skills? Does helping recover stolen funds from the Medi-Cal program and protect our elderly from financial abuse sound intriguing? The Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse Investigation section is looking for talented investigative auditors with diverse investigative and data management skills and a commitment to detect and combat fraud and elder abuse. Duties Investigative Auditors have limited peace officer authority to execute search warrants at financial institutions per Penal Code 830.13. During the course of their investigations, Investigative Auditors perform duties that include, but are not limited to the following: • Investigate allegations of Medi-Cal fraud and financial elder abuse • Utilize various law enforcement and government databases to gather intelligence data on pertinent subjects of the investigation including Lexis-Nexis • Analyze financial documents, and billing/claims data, perform bank account reconciliations to determine patterns of fraud, and calculate the amount of theft or loss to the Medi-Cal program utilizing computerized audit techniques with tools including Microsoft Office Suite and Bank Scan. • Trace and locate hidden assets and/or monies • Determine an entity’s corporate structure and conduct interviews with corporate staff • Participate in health facility and nursing home inspections • Review medical and business records to compile information on the victim and subjects of an investigation. • Interview victims, witnesses, experts and interrogate suspects and perform any and all fieldwork needed for the investigation • Document all investigative findings in Reports of Investigations and prepare declarations in support of search and arrest warrants • Service of bank search warrants and participate in the execution of search warrants of physical locations • Compile evidence as prescribed by law to substantiate allegations of fraud and abuse and prepare filing packages to submit to the Deputy Attorney General • Testify in court as the primary investigator on an assigned case or as an expert witness (Prop 115 Certified) • Work joint investigations with DMFEA Special Agents and Deputy Attorneys General • Work on joint investigations with our allied law enforcement agencies Please let us know how you heard about our position by taking this brief survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/P7X675V You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement . The Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse Investigation section is looking for talented investigative auditors with diverse investigative and data management skills and a commitment to detect and combat fraud and elder abuse. Duties Investigative Auditors have limited peace officer authority to execute search warrants at financial institutions per Penal Code 830.13. Job Description and Duties Under the general supervision of a Criminalist Manager or Criminalist Supervisor, the Crime Analyst I (CA I) is responsible for establishing and coordinating the operations of the laboratory’s evidence control system. The CA I utilizes various law enforcement database systems to perform technical and analytical duties for the Bureau of Forensic Services .
