The City of Goleta is seeking two local government professionals to serve as the Neighborhood Services Director and General Services Director. Both positions report directly to the City Manager or Assistant City Manager and serves as a member of the City’s Executive Management Team. With a total FY2021-22 budget of $55.1 million and a General Fund budget of $32.2 million, the City of Goleta has 7 departments: City Manager, Legal Services, Finance, Public Works, Planning and Environmental Review, Neighborhood Services, and General Services. The City’s operations and services are provided by 114 full- and part-time employees, supplemented by contractual staff. The Neighborhood Services Director is responsible for parks, recreation, libraries (3 branches), homeless programs, emergency preparedness, grantmaking programs, and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The General Services Director is responsible for facilities management, maintenance, and improvements; real estate services; vehicle fleet services; information and communications technology; purchasing and surplus property; and other general service programs and activities. The annual salary range for both these positions is $150,193 to $191,609 DOQ. The City offers a comprehensive benefits package including CalPERS retirement. Additionally, the City offers flexible scheduling and a hybrid workplace. Most employees have the option to work remotely up to 3 days per week with 2 days at City Hall.
