This class manages a broad range of human resources activities for the County and must be able to work discreetly and maintain confidentiality in all human resource matters. The incumbent is accountable for accomplishing department goals and objectives and for furthering County goals and objectives within general policy guidelines, and at times make recommendations to the Commissioners regarding the actions or inactions of both elected and appointed officials. This is a leadership level position requiring a high degree of skill and discretion consistently applied in a timely manner. The Human Resources Manager is an exempt, department head position which serves at the pleasure of the County Commissioners.
