Reporting to the County Administrator the Assistant County Administrator is responsible for providing overall direction for all activities related to developing and implementing annual budgets, policies, and goals for six (6) departments composed of generally 135 exempt and non-exempt staff. Planning, developing, implementing, directing, and evaluating the administration function and performance for the Chief Privacy Officer, Criminal Justice Administration, Public Defender, Pretrial Services, Purchasing, Small Business Enterprise, and Veteran Services. The County of Dallas is seeking an approachable team builder who is responsive, engaged, and innovative in managing the County’s staff and resources. Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Public, Business Administration, or a closely related field, and seven (7) years of work-related experience at management level. A Master’s Degree is desirable. The annual salary range for the Assistant County Administrator is $173,593.44 - $216,991.56; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
