Position Description This position is responsible for performing skilled tasks assisting the professional dental staff. Responsible for providing skilled assistance in routine and complex cases to the professional dental staff in the examination and prophylactic, therapeutic and surgical treatment of patients. Work is performed under supervision of professional dental staff. Work is performed in usual clinic conditions; requires contact with patients. Major/Essential Functions Aligns with Values Based Culture Complies with TDCJ and TTUHSC Policies and Procedures Schedules appointments for clinic, assuring compliance to access to care guidelines . Keeps statistical records of care provided by dental department and prepares monthly reports. Answer telephone for clinic. Responds to sick call request and obtains authentication from dentist. Ensures all necessary supplies and forms are stocked.
