Recurrent Staff Employee - Marketing & Communications
Lubbock

Position Description
A job involving an appointment for infrequent temporary work where the employee is called in as needed.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Develop and maintain GUIDE program materials (brochures, flyers, one-page referral guides, website content, social media posts) in plain language, in English and Spanish.
  • Make sure all beneficiary-facing materials follow CMS GUIDE Model marketing and communication requirements and TTUHSC branding and compliance policies; route materials for review and approval before use.
  • Keep up program content across clinic, TTUHSC, and Garrison Institute on Aging channels.
  • Track and report marketing activity and its reach (materials distributed, events held, inquiries generated).
  • Plan and attend outreach events such as health fairs, senior centers, churches, caregiver support groups, and Area Agency on Aging and Alzheimer's Association events across Lubbock and the surrounding rural counties.
  • Give short presentations on dementia care, caregiver support, and GUIDE services (care navigation, caregiver education, 24/7 support line, respite benefits) to community groups and families.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including home health agencies, adult day programs, faith communities, senior living communities, and county extension offices.
  • Keep a calendar of outreach activities and a contact log of community partners.
  • Conduct outreach to primary care practices, rural health clinics, FQHCs, hospitals, and discharge planners to explain the program and how to refer.
  • Develop and share referral tools and workflows that fit the clinic's intake process (e.g., a referral checklist emphasizing traditional Medicare, established PCP, and dementia diagnosis or workup need).
  • Follow up with referring providers to close the loop and strengthen ongoing referral relationships.
  • Track referral sources and volume so outreach can focus on the partners that generate referrals.
  • Contribute recruitment and outreach data to GUIDE program reports and internal quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with care navigators, clinicians, and the clinic director on enrollment targets and outreach strategy.
  • Coordinate with the clinic's research team so families interested in studies are appropriately referred, keeping GUIDE clinical services and research recruitment clearly separate.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in all communications.
