Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will provide quality gymnastics instruction for the benefit of the participants including toddler/preschool age through intermediate/advanced level participants. The days of work and hours will vary to meet program needs. Requires evening and weekend shifts.

The salary range for this position is:

Instructor I $15.16- $18.51 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Instructor II $15.76- $21.27 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

This opportunity will remain open until filled.

This is a part time, less than 20 hours per week position.

Essential Functions:
• Deliver high‑quality gymnastics instruction to registered participants in a fun, safe, and supportive learning environment.
• Create and lead engaging lesson plans; participate in all required staff trainings to maintain instructional excellence.
• Monitor the classroom, equipment, and program areas to ensure safety at all times; respond to emergencies according to established procedures.
• Complete administrative responsibilities, including participant skill assessments, attendance tracking, class evaluations, and preparing class descriptions for program brochures.
• Provide make‑up sessions when needed to support a positive participant experience.

Other Job Functions:
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the program.

Qualifications:

Instructor I
• Previous gymnastics experience with strong personal participation and sound knowledge of the activity.
• Must be at least 16 years old at the time of hire.
• Experience as an assistant instructor preferred.
• Coursework in recreation, education, or a related field preferred.

Instructor II
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of coaching or teaching gymnastics, along with extensive participation experience and strong knowledge of the activity.
• Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire.
• Coursework in recreation, education, or a related field preferred.

Certifications:
  • Must obtain First Aid and CPR certifications within 60 days of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient knowledge of gymnastics.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Work with a diverse group of people effectively and diplomatically.
  • Strong customer service skills .
  • Handle difficult situations involving participants with patience, good judgment, and with diplomacy.
  • Must demonstrate competent organizational and planning skills.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Frequent l ight to moderate physical effort that includes frequent standing or walking or maintaining arms and hands in the same position for repetitive tasks. Frequently works with light objects and light hand tools.
  • Occasional e xposure to hazards that are predictable or well protected against.
