The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) office of The Special Immigration Status Unit is seeking a qualified individual to fulfill the responsibilities of Intermediate Typist-Clerk (ITC). This position is located at 201 Centre Plaza Drive, Monterey Park, CA, 91754.
Essential Job Functions
The Special immigrant Status Unit Clerk is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Review of documentation received on behalf of clients referred to the unit
- Reviews and responds to messages received related to received referrals
- Reviews documentation on CWS/CMS, JPP and communicate with social workers to follow up on additional documentation needed
- Prepares case folders and letters for the Legalization workers
- Maintain and update referral and U-Visa Certification logs, filing of documents and closed files, request and return files from storage and mail needed documents and retrieve mail
Requirements
Individuals interested in applying for this position must currently hold the payroll title of Intermediate Typist-Clerk.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Demonstrate effectiveness in a fast-paced work environment
- Reliability and dependability to assist when needed. Excellent organizational and time management skills
- ability to set priorities and meet deadlines; good oral communication;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe, CWC/CMS, JPP, Shared Drive, general office equipment and other applications and network environment
- Ability to learn new processes and be able to adapt to fast changing environments and priorities
- The candidate must be bilingual Spanish English certified
