Job Description And Duties The Crime Analyst (CA) II is considered the technical expert and resource within the Cal-ID Program. The CA II searches, analyzes, compares, and resolves difficult to complex fingerprint and palm print transactions and errors through the use of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). The CA II must have a working knowledge of friction ridge examination, Department of Justice (DOJ) databases, and the criminal justice system in order to research and problem-solve production issues. When the requirements for the particular criteria are met and upon recommendation of the appointing power, the employee shall receive a rate under the provisions of California Code of Regulations, title 2, section 599.676.Personal Leave Program: Effective July 1, 2025, state employees are subject to temporary wage reductions in exchange for Personal Leave Program (PLP) accruals. The specific rate and hours earned were negotiated and agreed upon by each bargaining unit.
