Administrative Assistant to Magistrate

Position Description:
Duties: Responsible for scheduling hearings and preparing notices.

Respond to inquiries from the general public and make appropriate referrals as necessary.

Prepare Magistrate’s decisions and orders and other documents as required.

Prepare daily docket for distribution.

Process documents in a timely manner and keeps paperwork moving quickly through the system.

Update case information, as needed.

Assist other Magistrates, when their assigned assistant is out of the office.

Fill-in for receptionist in her absence.

Other duties as assigned.
Brief Description:
The Court seeks a motivated individual to perform administrative duties in assisting a Magistrate. Must be professional, able to work independently and communicate in a courteous manner.
Job Prerequisites:
Minimum Qualifications: Qualified individuals must be 21 years of age and must possess a high school diploma. Experience with court practices and procedures is beneficial. General knowledge of computer processing programs and general office equipment.
Compensation:
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
