The Campus Safety Officer 2 (CSO 2) is the entry level position in the Sage Hill Department of Campus Safety. The primary duty of the CSO 2 will be to maintain a safe and secure community. The CSO 2 may also be assigned to serve on special teams such as Incident Command and may work special projects, events, and assignments as directed by the Sage Hill Safety and Security Manager.Essential duties, responsibilities and expectations include (but are not limited to) the following:Maintains a neat and professional appearance, adhering to grooming and dress code or uniform standards set by the Safety and Security Manager.Mental willingness and physical abilities necessary to carry out duties involved in emergency response. (Drag of 165 pounds dead weight 30, ability to run 1 mile in 12 minutes.)May be asked to participate in various training activities including physical training (PT) and exercise on the job, at times in a paramilitary / academy format.Greets all persons in a courteous and professional manner.Maintains a safe and secure environment in support of the Safety and Security primary objectives.Proactive patrol, access control and traffic control.Assists in tasks associated with guest management and emergency preparedness and response.Monitors and uses phone, radio, email and other technology in a professional manner.Acknowledges and complies with all applicable policies and procedures.May be asked to work outside of typical school hours, perform shift work, holidays, weekends and OT.Observe, report and take reasonable action as outlined in SOP.All other duties as assigned by the Safety and Security Manager.Supervisory Duties: NoneA professional, courteous, and pleasant demeanor.A professional appearance.Punctuality, dependability, willingness and ability to work flexible hours.Polished communication skills.Ability to multi-task and prioritize with little supervision.Basic Competency in technology such as MS Office.1 year of prior experience in campus safety or similar.BSIS Guard Card desired.High School Diploma requiredCollege course work desired#J-18808-Ljbffr
