Essential Job Functions
- Provides direct patient care, demonstrating the competencies and expertise expected of a Registered Nurse I (RN I).
- Recognizes and prioritizes patient care needs based on acuity and urgency.
- Communicates effectively and collaboratively with patients, families, the interdisciplinary team, management, and nursing staff to ensure the highest quality of care and customer satisfaction.
- Performs nursing interventions in accordance with the nursing process.
- Follows established procedures and training guidelines for specific nursing interventions.
- Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and revises the plan of care as needed based on ongoing assessment.
- Provides education to patients and their families and provides or coordinates follow-up visits as needed.
- Performs high-level disinfection of scopes and instruments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
This position is open to all County of Los Angles employees who currently hold the payroll title of Registered Nurse I (RN I) and have successfully passed their probation.
