Loss Prevention SpecialistLocation: Compton, CA | Schedule: Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM | Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate + Shift Differential | Employment Type: Temporary with Potential for Full-Time ConversionOverview A leading national distribution and logistics organization is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to support security, asset protection, and operational loss prevention efforts within a high-volume distribution center environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy investigations, security operations, surveillance, and maintaining a safe workplace. The Loss Prevention Specialist will work closely with site leadership to protect company assets, reduce shrink, monitor facility activity, and support internal investigations.Key Responsibilities Protect company assets, including employees, inventory, equipment, property, and confidential informationMonitor shipping and receiving operations, trailer yard activity, facility access points, parking lots, and other critical areasObserve and document vehicle and trailer movement entering and exiting the facilityMonitor merchandise flow throughout the distribution centerConduct CCTV surveillance and investigate suspicious or potentially dishonest activityAssist with internal investigations and shortage analysisSupport loss prevention initiatives designed to reduce operational shrinkEnsure compliance with established safety, security, and fire prevention proceduresVerify incoming and outgoing trailer activity and maintain accurate recordsRespond professionally and appropriately to incidents and security concernsMaintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situationsQualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situationsEffective conflict resolution and problem‑solving abilitiesBasic computer proficiencyStrong attention to detail and observational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all timesPreferred Qualifications Previous loss prevention, security, warehouse security, asset protection, military, law enforcement, or investigative experienceCoursework or degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Security Management, or related fieldExperience working in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environmentBenefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Life InsuranceShort‑Term and Long‑Term Disability CoverageEmployee Discount ProgramsReferral Bonus OpportunitiesCareer Advancement and Growth OpportunitiesWhy Join Us?
