The City of Tracy is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and emotionally intelligent municipal leader to serve as its next Assistant City Manager. Reporting to the City Manager, the Assistant City Manager will serve as a strategic partner in advancing Council priorities, supporting departments, strengthening organizational culture, and guiding major initiatives, including economic development efforts and a comprehensive General Plan update.

The ideal candidate will bring broad municipal experience, sound judgment, political awareness, and exceptional relationship-building skills. Tracy seeks a trusted thought partner who combines operational expertise with strategic leadership, high emotional intelligence, integrity, and a genuine commitment to public service.

Salary: $268,285–$287,732, plus scheduled increases and an excellent executive benefits package.
