Protection Specialists may be tasked with monitoring and maintaining physical security systems such as alarms or surveillance cameras. They may also be responsible for performing inspections to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and taking any necessary steps to repair or replace broken or damaged equipment.Protection Specialists Job DutiesGreeting, checking in, and directing visitorsEnforcing access control and assuring that only authorized personnel enter the buildingMonitoring operational proceduresMaintaining constant surveillance of assigned areasProtecting the property from theft, accidents, fire, and other threatsProviding customer service for visitors, and/or guestsWriting accident and incident reports for any suspicious activities or safety hazardsResponding to calls for assistanceChecking bags and packages, as neededConducting security audits of company facilities and equipment to identify potential weaknesses in security measuresCoordinating security measures with other departments such as human resources or IT to ensure that policies are implemented effectivelyOther duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time position. Hours or work are usually Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.TravelNo travel is expected for this position.Required Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Business and two (2) plus years of related experience; ORAssociate's Degree in Business and four (4) years of managerial or business‑related experience; ORHigh School diploma and six (6) years of related experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
