The JobArrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a
Licensed Vocational Nurse II to support the
Transfer Center. The incumbent will assist with daily Transfer Center operations by supporting the coordination of patient transfers to and from ARMC, ensuring clinical information is accurately collected, communicated, and documented in compliance with EMTALA, regulatory requirements, and hospital policy. This role serves as a key point of support between referring facilities, internal departments, and providers to facilitate safe and timely patient transfers.
This recruitment is for ARMC's
Transfer Center. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist in coordinating patient transfers to and from ARMC in compliance with EMTALA, hospital policy, and regulatory guidelines.
- Collect, review, and document clinical information related to transfer requests, including patient condition, vital signs, treatments provided, isolation requirements, and level of care needs.
- Communicate effectively with referring facilities, nursing units, providers, and ancillary departments to support transfer coordination.
- Enter and update transfer-related information in designated tracking systems and the electronic medical record as assigned.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC)is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit,
456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Availability: Candidates must be available to
work all shifts which include day, night, swing, weekends and holidays.
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must successfully pass a background investigation which includes fingerprinting and verification of employment history and education.
License/Certifications: Must maintain a current LVN license and Basic Life Support throughout employment.
Physical ability: Performance of the essential job functions requires physical agility, good vision and color discrimination; fine hand manipulation and finger dexterity in both hands; working and/or reaching above and below shoulder level; discerning speech in quiet/noisy locations; lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: Working conditions involve exposure to combative or assaultive patients, electricity, chemicals, infectious materials, heat and odors.

Minimum RequirementsCandidates must meet
all of the following:
License: Must possess a current Licensed Vocational Nurse license issued by the State of California.
Certification: Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate for this position will possess the ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and support patient transfer coordination in compliance with hospital policy and regulatory requirements.
