    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    Municipal Courts currently has full-time employment opportunities available for Customer Service Representatives in their Court Operations Division who are self-motivated, customer service oriented, pay attention to detail, and possess strong organizational skills. As an official of the Court, your responsibilities may include the following:
    • Interface with law enforcement officials for the verification of warrants and notifications.
    • High level of direct contact with the general public, attorneys, court staff and law enforcement.
    • Processing of bond forfeitures and administrative duties related to bond administration
    • Data entry of incoming citations.
    • Quality review and updating of data and scanned documents .
    • Scanning of court documents into Court’s Case Management System.
    • Must be willing to submit to annual background checks.
    • Other administrative and customer service-related responsibilities as assigned.
    WORKING CONDITIONS
    General office setting. May require long periods of standing or sitting at a computer terminal and interacting with citizens in person and also by telephone. Must be able to work weekends and/or holidays as needed. Must be able to travel to another court location on short notice.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATION

    Requires a high school diploma or a GED.

    EXPERIENCE

    Six months of administrative or customer service-related experience is required.

    Substitution: An Associate’s degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.

    PREFERENCES

    **Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6. **

    Preferences will be given to candidates with heavy customer service experience.
    • Prior court, legal or paralegal experience as well as knowledge of court policies and procedures is a plus.
    • Experience in Windows and Microsoft office environment (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    None; however, the department may administer, and the applicant must successfully complete a skills-assessment relevant to job description.

    SALARY INFORMATION
    Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate’s qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification.
