* *Subject to change*DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate community events that connect community needs with services offered by the department and partnering stakeholders.
- Promote departmental programs and services by coordinating annual community events, including large-scale events.
- Coordinate overall facility operations, including appearance, safety, and contractor services such as janitorial, security, and grounds maintenance.
- Manage rental and lease space in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with cash handling and event management policies and submit required reports accurately and on time.
- Coordinate services and promote collaboration among leasing agencies, community agencies, and HHP programs.
- Maintain an up-to-date Community Resource Book with current agency information and resources.
- Coordinate and facilitate agency and partner meetings to support collaboration and communication.
- Create communication tools and methods that promote inclusion, awareness, and engagement with partnering agency activities and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain partnership records, including meeting agendas, notes, and documentation of agency activities.
- Participate in special departmental projects such as AIM, PSS, Vision, warming/cooling centers, disaster relief, and other assigned initiatives.
- Perform backup duties to support departmental operations and ensure continuity of services.
- Complete assigned tasks consistently, accurately, and in alignment with departmental expectations
PHYSICAL EFFORT:The position is physically comfortable, the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., a normal office environment with acceptable lighting,
temperature, and air conditions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Business Administration or a related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Two (2) years of experience in community organizational work, resource and referral services, or a closely related field are required.
SUBSTITUTION: Professional experience related to the type of work to be performed may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis

PREFERENCES**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.**
• Strong experience planning, coordinating, and facilitating community events, including large-scale events.
• Strong experience working with community agencies, community leaders, leasing partners, or public service organizations.
• Strong organizational skills to manage facility operations, safety, and contractor coordination.
• Ability to create clear communication materials that support agency collaboration and community engagement.
• Skill in coordinating and facilitating partner meetings, including maintaining agendas, notes, and partnership documentation.
• Experience maintaining resource manuals or community resource books.
• Ability to work independently during special projects such as cooling/warming centers, AIM, PSS, Vision, or disaster-relief operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with diverse community members and partner agencies.
• Flexibility to support backup duties and respond to operational needs.

SALARY INFORMATION GRANT FUNDED POSITIONGrant positions are dependent upon continued available funds. If funding is no longer available, employee may be laid off or transferred. Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification.
