    Faculty Employment Opportunity

    POSITION:

    Assistant Professor of Nursing: The School of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.

    Our cutting-edge simulation laboratories on both the Turlock and Stockton campuses provide students and faculty with immersive, high-fidelity learning environments that mirror real-world healthcare settings, empowering future nurses to practice critical thinking, teamwork, and clinical excellence in a safe, supportive space.

    We invite dynamic nurse educators to apply for a full-time, tenure-track position and join us in shaping the future of nursing in California’s Central Valley and beyond. The individual selected for this position may teach across all programs within the School of Nursing. Primary responsibilities include teaching didactic, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical courses, while also engaging in research, creative activities, and service to the University, all essential for retention, promotion, and tenure.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master’s degree in nursing, at least one year’s clinical experience as an RN in direct patient care within the last five years, and one year’s experience teaching nursing or a course that included practice in teaching nursing
    • Eligible for RN licensure in California and meet health policies and other requirements imposed by clinical agencies.
    • Ability to teach across the curriculum

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ph.D. or DNP in nursing or related area from an accredited program, and a BSN or MSN if a doctoral degree is not in nursing.
    • Experience with teaching in an online mode, laboratory simulation instruction, successful research, publications, and/or experience in outcomes assessment and/or service learning.
    • Evidence of potential to produce scholarly work.

    COMPENSATION:

    Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated hiring range is $7331-$7481 per month for Assistant Professor (12 monthly payments per academic year). As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.
