The JobArrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for
Surgical Technicians who assist medical staff with surgical procedures in the operating room. Duties include checking supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures; setting-up sterile tables with instruments, sutures, blades, electrosurgical equipment, suction, prosthesis, and solutions needed for procedures; counting sponges, needles, and instruments with circulator prior to procedures; inventorying supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures before incisions are closed; and gowning and gloving surgeons, assistants and other operating room staff.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

Summary of Benefits Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Availability: Candidates must be available to
work all shifts which include day, night, swing, weekends and holidays.
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must successfully pass a background investigation which includes fingerprinting and verification of employment history and education.
Certification : Applicants chosen for this position must possess a valid Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire.

Minimum RequirementsCandidates must meet one (1) of following options:- Option 1 : Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program within the past two (2) years.
-OR-
- Option 2 : Six (6) months of experience assisting surgeons and medical staff in an acute care operating room or outpatient surgery center.

Desired QualificationsCertification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) and trauma experience is highly desirable.
