Job/Department Summary:

Under general supervision of the AVP of Facilities & Capital Projects, the incumbent is responsible for providing the full range of skilled work in painting, finishing and maintaining a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures. The incumbent is expected to perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The incumbent may also provide instruction and lead direction to unskilled and semi-skilled assistants.

Facilities Management and Services (FMS) is a large, multifaceted department whose employees work various shifts and provide diverse administrative and operational services campus wide.

Required Education and Experience:

The knowledge and abilities listed above would normally be acquired through any combination of progressively responsible training and experience which demonstrates achievement of journey-level skills equivalent to that acquired through completion of a standard painter's apprenticeship program.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:

• Lead work experience.
• Computerized maintenance management system experience.

Time Base: Full-time

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pm

CSU Classification Salary Range: $64,260 (Step 1) - $93,612 (Step 20) per year.
