DescriptionThe People Operations Manager provides leadership, direction, guidance, and management to the staff of the People Operations division of the Consolidated Emergency Communications Center. This is an essential position and is expected to participate in all departmental activations.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,315 to $99,964 (Estimated Annual Salary)OPEN UNTIL FILLED - APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELY
Duties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Order of Essential Functions does not indicate importance of functions.)
•Provide leadership, supervisory support, and performance evaluation to the People Operations division, including human resources, peer support, and recruiting,
•Collaborates with department’s leadership team to resolve problems and determine the best course of action.
•Provide senior leadership with support and the necessary documentation for hiring, termination, grievance procedures.
•Coordinate County-mandated employed training.
•Monitor and oversee the human resources, recruiting, and peer support functions of the department.
•Collaborate with the other division managers regarding personnel matters and payroll to ensure needs of the department are met.
•Review and monitor people operations workflow processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
•Manage the department’s employee relations function, providing recommendations and advice to the department’s leadership team, supervisors, and employees on performance issues, managing the grievance process, and conducting internal investigations.
•Support assigned personnel in enhancing programs in the division.
•This is an essential position of the department and required to participate in departmental activations.
•Performs other duties or assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications1.Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or Public Administration. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
2.Seven (7) to Ten (10) years of experience or more in progressively responsible office management or human resources with at least five (5) years in a supervisory or management role.
3.Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
4.Center Management Certification Program (CMCP) certification preferred.
5.Must have no felony convictions; misdemeanors will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and disposition information must be provided.
6.Pass a background investigation including driving record, employment history, employment, education, and training verification, illegal conduct (drug use, etc.), and reference check.
7.Pass a pre-employment physical and psychological evaluation.
8.Be able to successfully complete Level IV CJIS Security Awareness Training within 6 months of date of hire, and maintain the certification.
9.NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800 or obtain within 6 months of the date of hire.
