    Position Summary

    San Diego State University is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ticket Office Accounting Technician to join our team. Reporting directly to the Associate Athletic Director of Ticket Operations, this role is vital in ensuring accurate budget reconciliation and comprehensive reporting.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Budget Reconciliation and Reporting: Perform thorough budget reconciliation and generate detailed reports. Work to streamline the reconciliation process for efficiency.
    • Product Insight: Provide valuable insights into our full range of ticket products, including season tickets, group tickets, and single-game tickets.
    • Data Analysis: Analyze budget reports effectively and present financial information in an easily digestible format for individuals unfamiliar with financial reporting.

    Position Information
    • This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, temporary position with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2025, with the possibility of reappointment.
    • This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.
    • Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. (Ability to work nights/weekends.)
    • The individual hired into this role will work primarily at Snapdragon Stadium and will occasionally work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.

    Department Summary

    The Department of Athletics, utilizing the services of over 150 employees, is responsible for the intercollegiate athletics program at San Diego State University. Currently, there are 18 sport programs, approximately 450 student-athletes, and 17 offices in the department. The offices include the following: The Aztec Club, Administration, Athletic Medicine, Business Office, Communications, Compliance, Corporate Sales, Development, Equipment, Event Management/Facilities and Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Strength and Conditioning, Student-Athlete Academic Support Services, Ticket Office, and Video.

    Education and Experience

    Equivalent to three years of progressively responsible financial record-keeping experience which has provided the above knowledge and abilities; Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.

    Key Qualifications
    • Ability to use current computer word processing and spreadsheet software programs, web browsers, query tools, integrated financial systems and/or other types of records management systems, such as student accounting, cashiering and student financial aid.
    • A working knowledge of Ticketmaster/Archtics

    Compensation and Benefits

    Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4,200 per month.

    Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

    CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,872 - $6,428 per month.
