What You'll Do

• Answer inbound calls from students and parents.
• Research questions and provide accurate information using multiple computer systems.
• Assist with questions related to financial aid, student accounts, admissions, and other student services.
• Help students understand education funding information and available resources.
• Verify identities and follow required security and authorization procedures.
• Navigate sensitive or challenging conversations with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
• Resolve issues when possible and escalate questions when additional support is needed.
• Learn new processes and expand your knowledge of school-specific services.
• Work collaboratively with your team to provide a positive, consistent customer experience.

What We're Looking For

• Previous call center or customer service experience.
• A stable employment history, including at least one employer where you've worked for two or more years.
• Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive energy and a genuine interest in helping people.
• A team-oriented mindset and willingness to contribute to shared goals.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems while assisting callers.
• Professionalism, patience, and empathy when handling difficult conversations.
• Comfort communicating with students who may not qualify for funding or receive the outcome they hoped for.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to follow scheduled shifts.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and learning new information.
• Ability to work on-site in Knoxville, TN.

Pay & Long-Term Opportunity

• Contract Pay: $16.20 per hour.
• Permanent Conversion: An additional $4.75 per hour in value, which may be applied toward benefits or potentially received as additional compensation, depending on the program's terms.
• Opportunity to transition to permanent, full-time employment as soon as eligible.
