Job Title - Facade Superintendent

Location - Brooklyn, NY

Major Ground-Up Residential Development

Salary up to $175,000

Insight Executive Solutions is partnering with an established New York City general contractor to recruit an experienced Facade / Exterior Superintendent for a significant ground-up residential development in Brooklyn.

The project involves the construction of a high-rise residential tower featuring 200+ rental units, ground-floor retail space, and a contemporary architectural façade incorporating extensive glazing and exterior panel systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Superintendent with strong building envelope experience to take ownership of exterior construction activities on a large-scale, architecturally driven project.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all façade and exterior construction activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage façade subcontractors, suppliers, and installation crews throughout the exterior construction process.
• Coordinate the installation of exterior wall systems, architectural panels, windows, glazing, waterproofing, and associated building envelope components.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications to identify and resolve potential conflicts.
• Work closely with project management, consultants, and other trades to maintain coordination and avoid delays.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable NYC building codes.
• Monitor daily progress, address site issues, and maintain accountability across subcontractors.
• Enforce site safety procedures and maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the project.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Superintendent or Foreman overseeing façade, exterior, or building envelope packages on new construction projects in New York
• Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, curtain wall, glazing, exterior cladding, waterproofing, and window installation.
• Experience working on high-rise residential, mixed-use, or other large-scale ground-up construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and manage complex exterior construction sequences.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, scheduling, quality control, and site safety.
• NYC construction experience needed.
