About the Role
Aircraft Inspector IV, you will be inspecting aircraft, systems, equipment, and parts to confirm they meet manufacturer specifications and government regulations.
Your inspection authority covers all in-process inspections, all final inspections, and approval for return to service on all work performed.
What You'll Do
- Inspect aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts for airworthiness and conformance to manufacturer specifications and government regulations
- Identify and document any breach of airworthiness standards
- Perform in-process and final inspections on all work
- Approve aircraft and components for return to service
- Apply product audit and inspection processes and procedures
- Support aircraft modifications and first article inspections
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies
(Required)
- Active, current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts
- Thorough understanding and hands-on experience with product audit and inspection processes
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- High school diploma or GED and typically 10+ years of relevant experience (a higher-level degree may substitute for experience; related experience may be considered in lieu of required education)
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1
- Knowledge of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)
- Experience with first article inspections and aircraft modifications
- Background in Aerospace & Defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military
