Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President of Admissions and Financial Assistance, the AD plays an integral part of the recruitment process. As a member of the admissions team, the Assistant Director will focus on both refining existing enrollment practices and driving growth. Beyond traditional responsibilities such as recruitment and counseling, this role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in cutting-edge areas such as Artificial Intelligence, K-12 programming, and emerging technologies.

The individual should possess competent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, group presentation skills, and have a strong passion to work with and seek out diverse populations. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Visit area high schools and meet with prospective students, guidance counselors, and school officials. Build relationships with high schools, community organizations, and college access programs (Rochester, Finger Lakes, Syracuse, and beyond). Maintain relationships from suspect to enrollment. Represent the Institute at regional and national college fairs. - 50%
Support the AVP by engaging interested individuals and guiding them to the next steps in the enrollment process. Coordinate campus tours and recruitment events. Use Slate CRM to track, manage, and engage prospective students. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to refine recruitment and enrollment strategies. Use emerging tools (AI, data analytics) to support outreach. Collaborate with academic departments and campus offices on consistent recruitment messaging. - 35%
Present to a variety of groups to showcase campus center offerings, academic programs, and admissions information. - 10%

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (indicate specific field, if required)
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 year of higher education operations, technology management, and/or customer services experience. Higher education experience can be swapped for other applicable business/sales experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to travel between campuses and to off-site recruitment events, schools, community organizations, and other locations as required.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds, including recruitment materials, displays, supplies, and event materials.
- Ability to operate standard office and presentation equipment, including computers, phones, audiovisual equipment, and other technology used for admissions activities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, and to work in both indoor and outdoor environments during recruitment activities and events.
