Summary

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead chemical spend across North America, developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, supplier performance and supply chain resilience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and executestrategic sourcing strategies for Raw Materials and PFR categories.
  • Lead RFPs, negotiations, should-cost analysis and market benchmarking to identify savings and improve commercial terms.
  • Manage supplier performance, contracts and strategic renegotiations.
  • Build strong relationships with key local and international suppliers through effective Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
  • Lead cross-functional sourcing projects, incorporating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and global procurement strategies.
  • Identify new suppliers, technologies and market opportunities to drive innovation and competitiveness.
  • Monitor market trends, inflation, supply chain conditions and geopolitical risks to identify potential business impacts.
  • Develop contingency plans, alternative sourcing strategies and supplier diversification to protect business continuity.
  • Manage supplier KPIs, audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure suppliers meet ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements, as well as ESG and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate pricing and commercial conditions within SAP and provide regular reporting on spend, savings and supplier performance.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, Finance or related field.
  • Previous procurement/sourcing experience, ideally within chemicals, manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and category management.
  • Strong commercial, financial and supply chain understanding.
  • Experience with SAP, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and strategic projects.
  • Knowledge of legal, regulatory, ISO and supplier compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
