The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda is seeking a supportive, versatile, and highly capable team leader to serve as its next Director of Administration and Services. The ideal candidate will be a skilled administrator who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and navigating a broad range of administrative functions in a dynamic public-sector environment. A bachelor’s degree is in public or business administration, public policy, finance, project management, or a related field expected and a higher degree (including an MBA, MPA, or other master’s level qualification) is strongly preferred. Qualified candidates will have seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in management or administrative services experience including four (4) years of supervisory experience. Direct procurement and contract administration experience is required. Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the additional functional areas represented within the Department of Administration and Services is required, while experience across several areas is strongly preferred. Experience working in an urban public housing or affordable housing agency or similar government agency is highly desirable. Above all, the Housing Authority is seeking a thoughtful, resourceful, and service-oriented leader who can bring strong administrative expertise while building trust, supporting staff, and effectively advancing the organization's goals.

The monthly salary for the Director of Administration and Services is $17,609.88-$21,404.57; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience however the authority usually makes offers at the lower end of the range.
