Summary
DescriptionThe Staff Acquisition Specialist supports landowner outreach, land rights acquisition, and access coordination activities to support land acquisition, survey, and construction operations. The Staff Acquisition Specialist role negotiates routine land rights agreements, coordinates property access, and ensures accurate execution and documentation in accordance with project requirements.
- Conduct direct landowner outreach to explain project scope, access needs, and schedules.
- Negotiate routine right of way, easement, license, and temporary construction access agreements.
- Coordinate survey and construction access with landowners, survey crews, and construction teams.
- Resolve access constraints related to site conditions.
- Execute land rights agreements and ensure proper signatures, distribution, and recordkeeping.
- Maintain accurate land rights tracking logs, contact records, and access status updates.
- Prepare routine reports on outreach progress, executed agreements, and outstanding access issues.
- Support on-site access coordination during active survey activities.
- Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies and protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 8 years related experience required.
- Or, Associate Degree in a related field and 6 years related experience
- Or, Bachelor Degree in Planning, Business, Real Estate, or a related field and 4 years related experience.
- Experience negotiating agreements or working directly with property owners required
- Real Estate License preferred but not required. Licensing requirements may vary by state based on job responsibilities.
- Proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with tracking systems.
- Ability to travel to projects sites, as required.
- Valid driver's license required.
