POSITION OVERVIEW
A global organization is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (Deputy CISO) to help lead enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operational resilience within a complex, highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environment.
Reporting directly to the CISO, this senior leader will serve as the CISO's primary delegate, overseeing day-to-day security operations, leading cross-functional cybersecurity initiatives, and partnering with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
The role will focus on protecting intellectual property, critical manufacturing systems, and global cyber infrastructure while supporting compliance with international defense and export regulations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Help drive enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operational resilience.
• Serve as the CISO's primary delegate and provide leadership across the cybersecurity organization.
• Oversee day-to-day security operations and help strengthen the organization's global cyber defense posture.
• Lead cross-functional cybersecurity initiatives across a complex global organization.
• Partner with senior executives and internal stakeholders on cybersecurity strategy and risk.
• Help protect intellectual property and critical manufacturing systems.
• Support cybersecurity efforts within highly regulated and export-controlled environments.
• Lead and support security governance, risk management, incident response, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Help manage cybersecurity crises and coordinate response efforts when needed.
• Represent the cybersecurity organization with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support compliance with applicable cybersecurity, defense, export, and regulatory requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including leadership experience within large, complex, global organizations.
• Deep expertise in security governance, risk management, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience securing OT/ICS environments, manufacturing systems, or aerospace/defense technologies.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO, CMMC, DFARS, ITAR, and other relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and influence senior executives.
• Experience managing cybersecurity crises and complex security initiatives.
• Ability to operate effectively in a high-security, export-controlled environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, semiconductor, or other high-assurance industries.
• Advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, CCSP, or equivalent.
• Experience with secure product development, supply chain security, and Zero Trust transformation.
• Familiarity with global regulatory environments and multinational operations.
