Holland & Sherry is looking for a Sample Librarian to join our showroom team in New York — and for the right person, this is just the beginning. This full-time, in-person, entry-level position is based in our showroom within the Decoration & Design Building, with hours from 8:45 – 5:30, Monday through Friday. We built this role as a launchpad: it's how motivated, sales-driven people get their foot in the door at Holland & Sherry and lay the groundwork for a future career in outside sales.This role is designed specifically for someone who is excited about eventually growing into an outside sales career in the interior design industry. You'll get hands‑on exposure to our full sample library, our clients, and the day-to-day rhythm of our sales team — the exact knowledge base that sets our best outside sales reps up for success. We're looking only for candidates who see this position as step one of that journey, not as a long-term destination.Our new team member must be energetic, motivated, and capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a team — with a genuine, long-term interest in building a career in outside sales.Occasional use of a ladder is required.ResponsibilitiesFulfillment of sample requests for the sales team and clients shopping the showroom throughout the dayUpkeep and maintenance of showroom floor to ensure that displays are fresh and tidyStocking, cataloging, and organizing of samples and sample tools; Inventory control & maintenance for all samples, equipment, and suppliesShowroom display maintenanceHandling of all shipments, including packing, unpacking, and creation of shipping labelsRegular inventory to ensure all samples are readily available to sales teamInternal correspondence with sales teamCorrespondence with clients via email as needed.
