DescriptionStatus: This position is contingent upon contract award.OverviewPrevailance is seeking an Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDT) Senior Analyst to support North Atlantic Treaty Organization ( NATO ) Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation ( HQ SACT ) Capability Development Management Support ( CMDS ) in Norfolk, Virginia. This position is expected to work on-site and may require approximately 25% travel.The EDT Senior Analyst supports the identification, assessment, and adoption of emerging technologies with potential application to current and future military capabilities. This position analyzes science and technology developments, identifies opportunities to address capability shortfalls, supports experimentation and capability development, and provides technology-focused analysis informing NATO strategic foresight, defense planning, and warfare development activities.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:Identify new Emerging and Disruptive Technologies and support the cataloguing and continued assessment of existing EDTsAssess the implications of emerging technologies and identify potential adoption opportunities supporting the Warfare Development AgendaPromote experimentation with EDT-based solutions in realistic operational environmentsIdentify and assess technologies capable of addressing capability shortfalls or significantly affecting existing military capabilitiesProvide and coordinate EDT analysis supporting strategic foresight efforts, NATO defense planning, capability and force development, capability requirements formulation, concept development and experimentation, and Analysis of Alternatives ( AoA )Analyze NATO Defence Planning Process ( NDPP ) products, operational Lessons Learned, and other relevant information to identify capability shortfalls that could benefit from emerging technologiesDevelop practical examples of how emerging technologies could be applied to current and future operational challengesEducate military staff regarding opportunities and risks associated with EDTsMaintain EDT knowledge and information resources supporting Warfare Development and information exchange among EDT stakeholdersRequirementsQualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience acquiring, assembling, and interpreting research and technology informationDemonstrated knowledge of science and technology ( S&T ) information sources, such as defense research laboratories, academic institutions, media sources, and defense ministriesDocumented experience interpreting future science and technology and EDT-related information to assess potential military applications and opportunities to address current and future operational challengesAbility to analyze EDT documentation, identify potential adoption pathways, and develop practical examples of how emerging technologies can be applied to current and future military challengesPractical experience with PC office automation products and internet-based information researchDemonstrated English-language proficiency equivalent to STANAG 6001 SLP 3333EducationMust satisfy one of the following:Bachelor's degree from a nationally recognized/certified university in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, or a closely related scientific or engineering discipline, plus at least 4 years of post-related experience ; orIn lieu of a university degree, at least 6 years of extensive and progressive experience in duties related to the function of the positionClearanceMust possess and maintain a NATO SECRET or national equivalent security clearanceAt Prevailance, we recognize that our employees are our greatest asset.
