Lead Acquisition Specialist

Summary

Job Title

Major Duties Include:

Interprets technical specifications, statements of work (SOW), or performance work statements (PWS) to ensure mutual understanding between the government and the contractor. Identifies and brings to the attention of the leadership any ambiguities, discrepancies, or potential issues within the contract documents.

Provides technical guidance to lower-graded staff and/or others regarding the full spectrum of actions, issues, and problems related to acquisition project management within the program office.

Coordinates requirements for GO.gov and Travel Shared Services through contracting or task order process. Performs complex analyses of contractor deliverables and performance as it relates to GO.gov, and presents such data to management for the purpose of improving existing operations within GO.gov and Travel Shared Services. Coordinates with contracting officers to ensure the acquisition strategy is the most appropriate and considered the best utilization of available contract offerings for GO.gov and Travel Shared Services.

Reviews, corrects, and ensures the accuracy of cost information for communication to program or other associated management officials, providing or collecting and consolidating comprehensive workload projections and associated costs for assigned and/or collective acquisition projects and related higher-level acquisition projects and other assignments. Coordinates with respective program personnel to determine program requirements and administers and processes, contracts and task orders consistent with agency policy.

Delivers status updates about specific program operations and related requirements to the program office, and other stakeholder management staff as needed. Conducts meetings with agency officials to explain GO.gov and Travel Shared Services and contract requirements.
