DescriptionAmazon is seeking a Investigation Specialist I to assist with identity verification and fraud mitigation of carriers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team in a huge growth area for Amazon.Key job responsibilitiesProvide data analysis & conduct investigationsPull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as neededTake appropriate action to identify and help minimize the risk posed by fraud or abuse patterns and trendsConsistently achieve weekly targets and quality standards for investigationsIdentify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon's transportation operationsUnderstand the business impact of the trends and make decisions that make sense based on available dataKnowledge to systematically elevate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teamsExperience to follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are deliveredWork within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performedWritten and verbal communication experience, as you will be required to create a narrative outlining your weekly findings and the variances to goals, and present these findings in a review forumParticipate in ad-hoc projects and assignments as necessaryA day in the lifeMeet productivity, quality and other hygiene metrics/ goalsIdentify opportunities to Invent and Simplify processes, and deliver quicker with higher standards of accuracyDefine SOPs, document new methods of abuse/frauds, and partner with stakeholder teams to drive gaps to closureExtract data independently through SQL queries, dashboards and use them to back up the problem statements/ proposalsBasic Qualifications1+ years of customer service experienceSpeak, write, and read fluently in EnglishExperience with Microsoft Office products and applicationsWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidaysExperience in payments or e-commerceExperience working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)Preferred QualificationsExperience with Customer Verification - KYC/KYBAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
