Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and train volunteer leaders to create self-organizing volunteer committees with focus on electing Francesca Hong and building towards long term activism
- Lead large scale trainings on canvassing, phonebanking, relational organizing, and other organizing skills - then ability to coach from afar as volunteers grow in skills
- Communicate priorities from organizing program to volunteers and raise flags coming in from the field
- Execute organizing program in multiple phases of the campaign, ramping from ballot access into persuasion and through get out the vote
- Making daily calls to recruit volunteers, knocking on doors, and meeting people across the region
Qualifications preferred
- At least one cycle of organizing experience in an electoral organization or campaign
- Extremely outgoing and interested in connecting with people
- Willingness to organize outside the box, while keeping to a rigorous data-driven approach
- Capability to work outside typical 9-5 schedule, and willingness to go the extra mile
- Personability and comfort in large crowds and working a room
- Comfortable with technology and systems, particularly VAN and Google Sheets
