Summary

Campus Security OfficerPosition is responsible for providing a secure environment and reducing public safety risks in the college campus.ResponsibilitiesProtect persons and property from unlawful activities and provide a safe and secure campus environment.Observe/report unlawful/ unauthorized activities. Identify suspicious people, behaviors and circumstances that may pose a public safety risk and take immediate and appropriate action to prevent incidents.Patrol campus/buildings. Monitor building conditions and respond to unsafe conditions, hazards and emergency situations. Follow safety guidelines. Respond to public safety alarms and assist with lockouts.Enforce parking regulations, give directions and respond to requests for assistance and information.Handle special assignments directed by the Public Safety Director/Supervisors such as driving the campus shuttle between locations on a regular or intermittent basis, special events, reception/visitor building posts and working in command office as needed.QualificationsEducation/Experience:Highschool Diploma or equivalentNYS Security CertificationValid Driver's LicenseMinimum of two years in a professional environmentKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Basic computer skillsAED knowledgeFire Alarm System knowledgeCustomer relationsVerbal and written communicationMinimum SalaryUSD $21.00/Hr.Maximum SalaryUSD $26.00/Hr.
