Summary
Job Title
This role is more administrative in nature as a function of the court. This role is not providing any security guard functions for the court.
In this role, you will provide courtroom support to Judges and Docket Clerks and assist with general administrative duties of the Municipal Court.
Examples of Duties:
- Determines the needs of citizens visiting the Municipal Court, providing direction and guidance where applicable.
- Assists the Judge in keeping courtroom at order.
- Ensures that court forms and related paperwork are completed, signed properly and forwarded to the payment area for collection.
- Directs citizens to payment areas, as necessary.
- Checks incoming ticket rosters for accuracy, filing them for upcoming court dates.
- Assists with general court filing and related administrative duties.
- Assists with courtroom clerking duties, as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluent in Spanish
