As a key part of our dedicated emergency management team, we are seeking a skilled and resilient Firefighter who will embrace our mission of enhancing community and workplace safety. This role is essential for performing a variety of firefighting, emergency aid, hazardous material, and fire prevention duties. The position involves maintaining readiness to respond to emergent situations, conduct rescues, operate fire suppression equipment, and effectively mitigate hazards in a high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities
- Respond to fire alarms and other emergency calls to protect life and property.
- Perform fire suppression duties including operating hoses, applying fire retardants, ventilating smoke-filled areas, and performing water rescues.
- Provide emergency medical services as a first responder.
- Participate in regular training sessions and drills.
- Conduct fire safety inspections and participate in public fire safety education.
- Maintain fire equipment and apparatus.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on incident responses.
- Actively participate in post-incident critiques and implement improvement strategies.

- Proficiency in using firefighting and rescue equipment.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with the public and team members.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks under stressful conditions.
- Problem-solving and quick decision-making skills in emergency situations.
