Summary
The Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Investigations (DTIXCI) reportsdirectly to the Executive Director/Title IX Coordinator (TIXC). TheDTIXCI assists the TIXC with the direction of the Office of EqualRights and Title IX, and the University's enforcement of the SexualMisconduct Policy and Nondiscrimination and Equal OpportunityPolicy.Primary responsibilities include shared oversight of theinvestigative processes for Office of Equal Rights and Title IXmatters. The DTIXCI will review and update policies and proceduresrelated to the process of conducting investigations for situationsthat would, if true, violate the Sexual Misconduct or Nondiscrimination and Equal Opportunity policy, and advise thedepartment's investigators on matters related to conductinginvestigations, writing investigation reports, and remainingcompliant with federal regulations and university policies. TheDTIXCI will also serve as an investigator, when needed, and may beutilized as a decision-maker or facilitator of informalresolutions. Candidates must clearly understand policies andprocedures relating to Title IX, Clery, VAWA, and their statecounterparts.This position is identified as a Campus Security Authority (CSA)for Clery Act purposes and a Title IX Responsible Employee underTitle IX. This designation requires annual training as well asother training requirements that the employee must complete. Anyand all training requirements will be communicated to the employee.A CSA and Title IX Responsible Employee has ongoing reportingrequirements in order to ensure compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act and Title IX regulations. and procedures, internal office forms, office publications(manuals, website information, brochures, etc.), and other relatedmaterials.Investigate cases and resolve preliminary inquiries, facilitateinterim measures, and draft reports, ensuring a prompt, equitable,and neutral process for all parties that follow federal, state, andinstitutional policies and procedures when needed.Assist with Clery Act Compliance by helping with Cleryresponsibilities around campus.Responsible for understanding definitions of Prohibited Conductunder the Policy, grievance processes and complaint filingprocedures, reporting requirements for employees and students,procedures for investigation and adjudication of complaints,interim measures, appeal rights (for all parties), and prohibitionson
