Now Hiring: Crime Scene Unit Technician – Odessa Police Department The Odessa Police Department is seeking a detail-oriented Crime Scene Unit Technician to respond to crime scenes, collect and preserve evidence, and support criminal investigations through accurate documentation and forensic processing.Key Responsibilities: Respond to crime scenes and document evidence using photography, videography, sketches, and reports.Collect, package, preserve, and maintain the chain of custody of physical evidence.Prepare detailed reports, maintain accurate evidence records, and assist with court proceedings.Coordinate with officers, detectives, and forensic personnel while maintaining professional standards.Maintain crime scene equipment and participate in ongoing training and on-call response.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; science-related degree preferred.Crime scene, law enforcement, crime lab, or related internship preferred.Successful completion of a background investigation and polygraph required.Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.Valid Texas Driver's License required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
