Job TitleUnited Ground Express is hiring for a position that involves various responsibilities and requires specific qualifications.Key ResponsibilitiesThe role includes but is not limited to:Lifting baggage, boxes, or cargo weighing up to 70 lbs.Pushing/pulling loaded and empty carts during operationsAscending/descending jet-way stairs while carrying baggageBending/stooping and crawling to move and stack/unstack cargoDriving ground equipment to assist with plane operationsCleaning aircraft interiors and lavatoriesReading and interpreting load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labelsPrepping and securing the aircraft for the next flightEnsuring compliance with United and FAA regulationsUsing radio electronic devices for communicationWorking outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditionsQualifications and Minimum RequirementsCandidates must meet the following criteria:At least 18 years oldValid state-issued driver's license with acceptable driving recordAcquire and maintain credentials including fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background checkSuccessful completion of pre-employment process including drug screen, hearing and vision checkAvailable to work any shift; day or night, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be requiredComfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and new technologiesAbility to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English languageAbility to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 70 lbs.Able to perform a variety of physical activities including ushing, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spacesAuthorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipMust possess and maintain a valid US state driver's licenseWhat We ProvideThe company offers:$16.00/hrCompetitive benefitsEarned Paid Time offDiscounted travel for you and your immediate familyCareer advancement opportunitiesUnited Ground Express is an equal opportunity employer.
