Position Security Officer - UnarmedSchedule: Full-Time 40hr per week 3rd Shift:
- Friday 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Saturday 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Sunday 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Monday 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Tuesday 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Responsibilities:We are seeking a Security Officer for a commercial office building in Lowell, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting scheduled foot patrols throughout the property, monitoring security cameras and alarm systems, and maintaining oversight of tenant suites, common areas, and parking facilities.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and patience when interacting with tenants, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees. Key responsibilities include providing assistance and information to individuals on-site, supporting contractors as needed, and coordinating closely with building management to address security and operational concerns.
This position requires a strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to safety and security, and a commitment to enforcing property rules, including monitoring and preventing unauthorized access and trespassing on private property.
Job Duties:
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with tenants, visitors, contractors, and management.
- Prepare accurate and detailed shift activity reports documenting daily events and incidents.
- Complete scheduled foot patrols of the property in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor security cameras, alarm systems, tenant suites, common areas, and parking facilities.
- Provide assistance and direction to contractors, tenants, visitors, and customers as needed.
- Utilize computer systems and security-related software; basic computer proficiency is preferred.
- Report safety, security, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the safety and security of the property.
- Security, military, or law enforcement background is preferred.
- Must have High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must successfully pass a federal non-DOT drug screening, including testing for marijuana, as well as a comprehensive background check prior to employment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, accountability, and a professional demeanor at all times.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with tenants, visitors, contractors, and colleagues
