Summary

Security Assistant Duties

As security assistant, incumbent is responsible for performing and resolving a full range of both standard procedural and non-recurring/unusual visitor access assignments.

Operates and performs research queries on the Joint Personnel Adjudication System, Defense Information Security System, and Personnel Investigative Portal.

Controls, prepares, issues identification badges, cards, and passes that allow access of civilian, military, contractor personnel, and visitors to DDEAMC, and at the discretion of the employee or higher graded staff.

Sets up and maintains visitor control roster and badges accountability log, which is subject to quarterly and annual reviews and inventories.

Operates and maintains various items of access control equipment and automated systems to include computer equipment used in the identification and registration process.
