Test Engineering And Planning Division Manager

Job Description

You will plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Test Engineering and Planning Division. You will develop availability work packages, plan and certify technical products, and plan and execute a technically complete test program. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules. You will identify requirements and initiate requests for additional resources including personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, and space to ensure success in meeting goals and objectives. You will resolve technical matters as needed for technical and project management requirements. You will select or recommend selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignment in consideration of skills, qualifications, and mission requirements. You will develop, modify, and/or interpret performance standards for Branch Managers. You will exercise authority delegated from Code 120 to oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the Code 120 Test Engineering program, including the development, qualification, and assignment of personnel. You will initiate action to correct performance or conduct problems. You will coordinate with other Code 120 and Shipyard organizations and outside activities to effectively resolve interface conflicts, questions regarding test requirements, and technical and administrative problems presented by subordinates. You will ensure effective training and development of engineers, program managers, and engineering technicians.
