$23.00/Hour | Armed School Security Officer | Monday–Friday Daylight Schedule

KRE Security, LLC is seeking reliable, consistent, and highly qualified Armed School Security Officers for a school district in Duncannon, PA. This position provides coverage across three separate school buildings and offers a stable weekday schedule, long-term placement, and year-round earning opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced armed security professionals, veterans, retired law enforcement officers, or individuals seeking a professional school security environment with steady hours and no overnight shifts.

Position Details

Starting pay: $23.00 per hour

Monday–Friday schedule

8.5-hour daylight shifts

No overnight shifts

Position begins in September

Coverage across three school buildings

Overtime opportunities available for sports, extracurricular activities, and school events

Full-time, school-year placement with additional summer and per diem opportunities available when school is not in session

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure school environment

Conduct patrols of school property and surrounding grounds

Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents

Monitor entrances, visitors, and access control

Build positive working relationships with school staff and administrators

Complete all reports and required documentation professionally and accurately

Coordinate with school officials and emergency responders when necessary

We are seeking dependable professionals who:

Report to work consistently and take pride in their performance

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

Communicate effectively with staff, students, and visitors

Work independently and make sound decisions

Understand the importance of protecting schools and their communities

Qualifications and Clearance Requirements

Act 235 certification preferred or the ability to obtain it

Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or armed security experience preferred

Veterans and former law enforcement officers are strongly encouraged to apply

Clean criminal history and ability to pass all required screenings

Candidates are responsible for obtaining and providing their own required school clearances, including:

FBI fingerprint-based background check

Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check

Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
