Quality Inspector - Industrial Equipment Manufacturing

Flowtec is partnered with a well-established manufacturing company specializing in engineered equipment for marine, offshore, and industrial markets. This Quality Inspector role covers incoming, in-process, and final inspection across machining, assembly, and repair operations, with excellent work-life balance in a streamlined environment. Onsite in Northern New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection: Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of precision machined components and pump assemblies
  • Dimensional inspection using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and indicators
  • Program and operate CMM equipment for complex part verification
  • Complete first article inspections on new and repaired components

Quality Systems & Documentation:

  • Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T
  • Maintain inspection records within the ISO quality system
  • Write non-conformance reports and support root cause and corrective action
  • Support government source inspections and customer audits
  • Maintain the gauge calibration program

Cross-Functional Work:

  • Work with machinists, assemblers, and engineering to resolve quality issues
  • Support disposition of non-conforming material
  • Perform receiving inspection on supplier parts

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of quality inspection in a precision machining or manufacturing environment
  • CMM experience (programming strongly preferred)
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency
  • Hands-on with precision measurement instruments
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 quality systems; military or government spec experience a plus
  • Pump or rotating equipment component experience preferred
  • Comfortable in a machine shop environment

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Up to $40/hour, based on experience
