Dispatcher

D&D Plumbing, Heating, and AC is looking for a true Dispatcher — the person who owns the board, keeps the trucks moving, and keeps customers in the loop from the first call to the last job of the day.

This isn't a phones-only seat. You're the hub of the operation. If you're organized, quick-thinking, and you like the pace of a busy service board, we want to talk to you.

$19.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience

Our schedule shifts with the season, and we're upfront about it:

  • Peak season (spring/summer): Tuesday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Saturday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Off-season (fall/winter): Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We need someone who can flex between the two. In return, you get your weekends back and a steady weekday schedule for a good part of the year.

Build and manage the daily dispatch board, assigning technicians and installers by skill, location, and capacity

Adjust the board in real time as emergency calls, delays, and add-on work come in

Keep customers informed on arrival windows, delays, and job status

Communicate with technicians throughout the day on job progress, parts needs, and next assignments

Maintain accurate customer records, job notes, and dispatch history in our software system

Coordinate daily with the Plumbing Manager and Field Operations Manager on scheduling priorities

Handle customer concerns with professionalism and escalate when appropriate

Support the office team with call overflow during peak volume

Minimum 6 months of dispatch and/or customer service experience

Availability and flexibility for a seasonal schedule, including Saturdays during peak season

Excellent phone presence and clear written communication

Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities without losing track

Self-starter with a great attitude who takes ownership and doesn't wait to be asked

Team player who's eager to learn the trade side of the business

Dependable attendance

$19.00 – $25.00 per hour

Weekends off during the off-season and a shortened Saturday during peak

Medical, dental, and vision insurance

401(k) with company match

PTO and paid holidays

Ongoing training and support — no dispatch software experience needed to start

Stable, year-round work with a growing company

Organized operation with supportive leadership

Direct impact on the success of the field team

Clear path for growth into lead dispatcher, dispatch supervisor, or office management

A culture that rewards effort and results

D&D Plumbing, Heating, and AC is a growing residential plumbing, heating, and air conditioning company focused on delivering a 5-star experience for our customers and building a team that wins together.
